June 3, 2023

Time:

2:00 pm

Location:

Durell Vineyard, Sonoma CA

Join us at GAIA's Spring Event at Durell Vineyards in Sonoma, CA, on Saturday, June 3rd. In celebration of the spectacular growth of GAIA's Health Workforce Development Program, the event will honor UCSF's Global Action in Nursing (GAIN), with the GAIA Global Citizen Award accepted by Kimberly Baltzell and Luseshelo Simwinga.

We'll be joined by two special Malawian Guests:

James Seleman is the Lead Clinical Officer for GAIA's Mangochi Mobile Clinic, providing rural Malawians with accessible healthcare.

Luseshelo Simwinga is a GAIA Nursing Scholar Graduate, currently serving as a Nurse Midwife Mentor with UCSF's Global Action in Nursing (GAIN) project where she trains and mentors nurse midwives on safe birthing practices and how to manage complications during childbirth.

GPS (Waze, Google Maps, etc.) will get you to Felder Road, but then may take you to a neighboring property. Once you are on Felder Road, please follow these directions:

Continue about a mile. Along the way you will cross 2 cattle guards. After the 2nd cattle guard turn HARD RIGHT over a 3rd cattle guard. You are now on the Durell Vineyard. Continue on the road and STAY left at the first sign. As you approach the gates, pull up next to the keypad on your left. The gates will open automatically. Follow signs to 1945, and head to the Ranch House nestled in the vineyard.
